Terms & Conditions of Service
Business: From The Soil Herbal
Privacy contact: Tamara Clements fromthesoilherbal@gmail.com
Effective date: 21 October 2026
1. About the service
From The Soil offers herbal medicine consultations, individualised wellness support, acute consultations, herbal education and community-based services.
My approach is collaborative, respectful and centred on your individual circumstances. Consultations may include discussion of your health history, current symptoms, diet, lifestyle, medications, supplements and personal health goals.
The services offered are complementary to, rather than a replacement for, appropriate medical care. The scope and availability of services will be explained before your appointment.
2. Appointments
Appointments are available in person and online, subject to availability. Please provide accurate and up-to-date health information so that your practitioner can make an informed assessment of whether the service is appropriate for you.
If your needs fall outside my training, experience or scope of practice, I will recommend that you consult another suitably qualified health professional.
An acute consultation is not an emergency service and cannot replace urgent medical assessment.
3. Fees and payment
Fees will be communicated before you book. Any additional costs, including the cost of individually prepared herbal products, will be explained before you agree to proceed.
Payment is due on booking the appointment via Simple Clinic.
Where a concession, sliding-scale fee or community-supported arrangement is available, the agreed fee will be confirmed before the service begins.
4. Cancellations and missed appointments
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Cancellations made with less notice may incur a fee of [$0], provided this has been disclosed before booking and is reasonable in the circumstances.
If you do not attend your appointment, a missed-appointment fee of [$0] may apply under the same conditions.
Please contact me if illness, an emergency or unexpected circumstances affect your ability to attend. I will consider these circumstances fairly.
5. Herbal preparations
Any proposed individual herbal preparation will be discussed with you before it is supplied, including its intended use, ingredients, directions, relevant precautions, price and any known risks.
Preparations will only be supplied where the practitioner considers this appropriate and the relevant legal requirements have been met.
Please follow the supplied directions. Do not change the dose, share your preparation with another person, or use it beyond its stated use-by date.
If you experience a suspected adverse reaction, stop using the preparation and seek appropriate medical advice. Seek emergency assistance for severe or rapidly worsening symptoms.
6. Your role in your care
You agree to provide relevant information about your health, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, medications, supplements and any changes to your circumstances.
Please contact me if your health changes or you have concerns about a recommendation. Do not stop or change prescribed medication without discussing this with the prescribing practitioner.
7. Online consultations
You are responsible for accessing the consultation from a reasonably private and safe location and for providing accurate information about your current location.
Online consultations have limitations because physical examination and some forms of assessment may not be possible. If an in-person assessment or urgent care is needed, I may pause or end the consultation and recommend appropriate care.
8. Privacy and records
Personal and health information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Please read that policy before providing your information.
Information may be shared with another practitioner with your consent, where required or authorised by law, or where a permitted exception applies.
9. Workshops and community services
Separate booking, safety and participation conditions may apply to workshops, educational events and volunteer or community-supported activities. These will be provided before participation where relevant.
10. Complaints and feedback
You are welcome to raise concerns directly with me at fromthesoilherbal@gmail.com. I will aim to respond promptly.
You may also seek advice from a relevant consumer protection or privacy authority where appropriate.
11. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
By booking a service, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read these terms and ask questions.
