Dandelion & Burdock Digestive Bitters Tincture (50ml)

$23.00
sold out

A combination of roots to support the biliary system (liver and gall bladder), gastrointestinal tract (digestive system), skin (integumentary) and urinary system from the garden

Burdock is categorized as a trophorestorative for the liver & kidneys “drawing impurities from extra-cellular spaces into the blood, relieving lymphatic congestion & promotes elimination.” and was used traditionally as a gentle kidney stimulant. Also used for bronchial coughs and GIT irritation (Felter & Llyod 1893).

Dandelion roots key actions as a bitter tonic and choleretic, increasing bile production and flow (cholagogue), improving fat digestion and absorption, also supporting the elimination of waste products to flush the liver and contribute to a cleansing, alterative action . Dandelion root is useful in most functional disorders of the hepato-biliary system (liver and gall bladder).

Energetics: Bitter, sweet, warm, oily (Burdock), cold, bitter, dry (Dandelion root)

Strength: Tincture (1:5) 40%

Dosage: 1-3 dropperfuls with water or directly under the tongue, after a meal or when you feel in need of some support with digestion and elimination.

Contains: Homegrown Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) Burdock (Arctium lappa), 40% Alcohol.

Safety: Not safe for pregnancy or children.

Caution: Dandelion and Burdock are both from the Asteraceae family, known allergy. Dandelion is contraindicated in closure of the bile ducts or intestinal obstruction.

Drugs Interactions: Burdock has an additive effect with anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory, diuretics, oestrogen drugs. Dandelion has an additive effect with anti-coagulants, anti-platelets, and anti-diabetic drugs. The high mineral content of dandelion may result in the formation of chelate complexes with some types of antibiotics and reduce their absorbability.

Disclaimer: The products included are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease and have not been evaluated by the TGA. All products have been extensively tested on myself/friends for quality control.

Size: 50ml made with homegrown and handmade by Tamara
